Free Music (Legal n all!)

Wanna know a secret?  There's lots of free legal music on the internet.  You just gotta know where to look.  I know what you're thinkin - "I catch ya drift bey Duncan, I is rip all my music offa YouTube or download albums on BitTorrent already, ALL FA FREE.  I know da times!"  Well, I ein talkin bout that, so listen up.

Take a website like www.stereogum.com.  They focus primarily on independent music and up-and-coming artists, but in the past they've featured stuff by bands who eventually went big, like Arcade Fire or Vampire Weekend.   One I've been checking lately is http://rcrdlbl.com/
.  They've currently got over 25,000 free singles available to download - whether that be an album single the artist wants to give away, a sponsored remix of a popular track, or a rarity that was previously unreleased.  Hit the jump below to edumacate yaself.

Gabriel & Dresden are back!

It's time to rejoice people:  one of the greatest duos in electronic music has rejoined after they split up three years ago in 2008.  For anyone who doesn't know, Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden are the trance legends behind the hit "As the Rush Comes" (under their Motorcycle moniker) featuring renowned vocalist Jes Brieden - see music video here.  Their ability to create songs with hypnotic melodies and beautiful accompanying vocals are, in my opinion, unrivalled. For a little taste check out "Tracking Treasure Down", or one of their brilliant instrumentals such as "Arcadia" or "Serendipity".

Testing, testing

Finally got around to creating this blog, which shall contain music and other random tidbits of information which I feel may arouse your interest.

For my first post, it should only be fitting to explain the name of the blog.  "What One Dance Can Do" is a song by legendary reggae artist Beres Hammond from the mid-80s.  He has countless jams - old and new - and this is one of my absolute favourites.

If you like it check out other classics like "Putting up a resistance", "Rock Away" and "Can You Play Some More" - the latter featuring the somewhat recently locked up Buju Banton (what a clown).

ANYWAYS enough runnin my mout, here's the link for the tune.  Njoi
