Read on for David Guetta, Alesso, Ingrosso, Sander & Avicii!
And the award for the most oddly named song of the month goes to some German electro producer named Zedd. Cheers to Lulu for this one.
3) Zedd - Shave It
K Guetta's album "Nothing But the Beat" came out back in August... and I haven't mentioned it yet because I was pretty disappointed. Nothing too different from his last album, although his collab "Sunshine" with Avicii is dope (and was apparently just nominated for a Grammy, see his twitter account). Anyway, newcomer Alesso has remixed a track from Disc 2 called "TITANIUM" featuring Australian vocalist Sia. Original wasn't bad but Alesso's magic touch makes it 10x better. This is the type of progressive house music that makes me really happy :D Fans of his hit "Calling" with Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso will instantly recognise the buildup... so similar that it's probably just a sample. Speaking of "Calling", I had great intentions months back to post that track, so check it out below also.... absolute banger.
4) David Guetta ft. Sia - Titanium (Alesso Remix)
What the heck do these guys eat/drink in Sweden? They keep producing incredible music! Maybe Swedish House Mafia needa expand their crew - being seriously challenged by ppl like Avicii & Alesso. Mind you the 4th unofficial member Eric Prydz still rules all :) Oh, should probably note too that this Alesso dude is only 19 years old!
5) Seb. Ingrosso & Alesso - Calling
Just so yall know... Kele has not been fired as lead singer of Bloc Party, as the rumour went. He's still working with them, but also found the time to put out a solo EP last month called "The Hunter". Seems like SvD has jumped on remix duties for the lead single, and I'm likin the result. To be honest, Kele barely features in the song at all, as the main vocals are covered by some gal Lucy Taylor. In the last minute he comes in and sings backing vocals. This is just a rip, will be officially released Dec 26th on Beatport.
6) Kele vs. Sander van Doorn ft. Lucy Taylor - What Did I Do
Finally I have Avicii's latest track for you. It's a collaboration with another up and coming talent from Holland, Nicky Romero. According to the young Swede it has not yet been titled but it's been floating around the cyberweb as "Fuck School" for some reason. Anyway, awesome track which samples "D.A.N.C.E." by French electro duo Justice! Get ya freak on and njoi the euphoric sounds! (Thanks to my cousin Bobo for da edumacation on dis track.)
7) Avicii & Nicky Romero - ID (Fuck School)
