Afroki

Afroki = Afrojack & Steve Aoki... two electro producers & DJs who appear to be among the craziest on the scene. On Monday they released "No Beef", an absolute electro banger with both vocal and instrumental mixes. They made a pretty comical video to accompany the release, documenting them partying around Las Vegas drinking from little bottles of alcohol labelled "Afroki", getting tattoos and engaging in other debauchery.

Afrojack is a dutch DJ well known for his dutch "bleeping" electro sound. Some may argue that his sound is played out and gets a bit repetitive, but there's no denying that he has made some absolute classics. Firstly, he teamed up with Diplo & Switch to co-produce Major Lazer's track "Pon de Floor" (ft. Vybz Kartel) - which was massive in 2009 and appealed to fans of both reggae, pop and electro. Fast forward two years and you'll recognise his input (although obv. toned down for the masses) in the chorus of Pitbull's club-friendly single with Ne-Yo, "Give Me Everything". He also teamed up with David Guetta to make the happy house track "Louder Than Words" and vocalist Eva Simons to create what I think was 1 of the top 3 electronic tunes of 2010... TAKE OVER CONTROL

Meanwhile, American Steve Aoki has a bit of a harder electro sound and seems to constantly live his life partying in Las Vegas. See his slightly psychotic song "Warp" with The Bloody Beetroots or the more recent collab with Laidback Luke, "Turbulence", featuring the very out-of-place-in-an-electro-song (but equally brilliant) Lil Jon. On another note, when first hearing this tune I instantly recognised the singer... who turns out to be Alyssa Palmer, the same vocalist from Bad Boy Bill's '09 track "Falling Anthem". I've added the Herve remix below for your listening pleasure.
